Daughter Announce Show for the Wulfrun Hall
One of the hardest working bands in the UK at the moment appears to be the multi talented three piece Daughter. Their debut album is released in just over a fortnight, to support this they will embark on a world tour which will take them across the UK, Europe, America and Canada; many dates of which are sold out. They arrive back just in time for a number of festival appearances, including T in the Park, Field Day and Primevera. So you would think come autumn, Elena and co would be ready to put their feet up with a large mug of tea but no, they have now announced another lengthy UK tour.
I’m really impressed by this band’s commitment to the success of their debut album and the commitment they show to their loyal fan base. I first saw Daughter play live in 2011, when they supporting the incredibly talented Benjamin Francis Leftwich, they are a completely unique band as their soft, dulcet tones managed to mesmerise the entire audience in the intimate Institute, Birmingham. Since then the band have gone on to release two critically acclaimed EP’s ‘His Young Heart’ and ‘The Wild Youth’, both are evidence of the band’s artful lyricism and tenderly crafted music. Their debut album ‘If You Leave’ is released on the 18th of March in the UK, a full list of Autumn tour dates is available below.
